Best AOC Californian Bradford 2002 & 2003

Californians are a fur breed of rabbit weighing as an adult from 7 and 1/2 lb to the maximum weight of 10 1/2 lb for a doe.  They have coloured smut, ears, tail and feet in either Chocolate, Lilac, Blue or Black (known as a normal). A correct coat on a Californian is a real pleasure to feel.  The ideal Californian coat in my opinian should have a dense undercoat with much coarser guard hairs.

Californians DO make good pets with their docile and friendly nature.

Young Cali showing "ticked coat"

When youngsters, sometimes Californians have ticking in their coat, this is nothing to worry about as it usually clears in their first moult and I have found that these Californians normally have the best coats.
